The men were randomised to Weight Watchers weight loss programme plus placebo versus the same weight loss programme plus testosteronetreatment, and the primary study end point was a decrease in body weight after 12 weeks of treatment. We did not meet the requirements of inclusion criteria (as defined by the protocol) for any participant that did not have a diagnosis of diabetes before study entry.
